Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus have dealt with a blaze in a two-storey house in Clements Road, Ramsgate.
The alarm was raised after a passer-by called 999.
Crews used a high-pressure hose reel jet and a main covering jet to extinguish the flames before clearing smoke and fumes from the property.
A thermal imaging camera was used to check the roof spaces of neighbouring properties to make sure the fire had not spread.
There are no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire is unknown.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene.
A team from the British Red Cross and the KFRS volunteer response team attended to offer support to the property owners.
