A 23-year-old Margate man who raped a virgin he met through the internet has been jailed for nine years.
Rezart Lame rejected desperate appeals by his victim to stop the horrific attack and carried out a series of sickening rapes.
Canterbury Crown Court heard how Lame met his victim through social media and the two agreed to meet.
The woman travelled to Thanet intending to go for a walk with him – but he told her the weather was too cloudy.
A jury heard how he talked his victim into going to his home after buying vodka and coke, and then began his series of attacks.
Judge Adele Williams told Lame, who had denied the offences, that the teenager’s ordeal in February began in the evening and carried on into the following morning.
“This girl was vulnerable in my opinion and she told you she was a virgin and sexually inexperienced.
“You took no notice of that and you were only concerned with satisfying your own sexual needs.”
Lame, who now lives in Hounslow, denied six sex offences including rape, but was convicted on “clear and compelling evidence," the judge said.
She added: “I have seen and heard your victim give evidence and I am sure she repeatedly told you to stop; that she did not want the activity at all. But nevertheless you persisted.”
Judge Williams said she had read references about Lame, that he was normally “hardworking and respectable" and came from a good family.
“But on this occasion you let yourself and your family down when you committed these offences," she said.
