When a treasured pet goes missing it can be distressing for the owner.

If found they can be reunited quickly through a microchip.

Now the RSPCA’s East Kent Animal Centre is offering pet microchipping for a special price during June. The cost of the permanent identification is just £10.

The RSPCA’s Isle of Thanet branch is supporting the fifth annual National Microchipping Month. The centre at Queensdown Road, Woodchurch, is open daily between 11.30am and 2pm, except Wednesday.

A fun dog show and open day will take place there on Sunday, an ideal chance for dog owners to get their animals microchipped.

National Microchipping Month is organised by the Kennel Club to promote Petlog which has a database of more than 3.5 million animals and provides round the clock help to fraught owners.

For a limited time, the Kennel Club is offering owners of microchipped pets an upgrade to Petlog Premium for a one off fee of £10 online at www.petlogpremium.org.uk

The RSPCA centre can be contacted on 01843 826180.
