A pharmacy is under new ownership after it was raided by police and NHS investigators.
The Newington branch had its licence suspended back in January 2016 and was closed down.
In March 2016, the Manor Pharmacy Group, which own Pierremont pharmacy in Broadstairs, was able to reopen under a temporary licence for patients.
Police and NHS investigations are now complete, meaning the group have been able to buy the pharmacy.
New owner Graham Phillips said: "Having run the pharmacy on what was planned to be a temporary basis for more than two years, I am delighted that all the legal processes are finally over and I am pleased to announce that from May 1, I was able to purchase Newington pharmacy.
"As it is now 100% in my control, this means that I am now in a position to make significant investment in the premises as well as enhance the range of services the pharmacy provides.
"There has already been some regeneration in the Newington area and I and the long-suffering team at Newington pharmacy plan to play our part."
The Manor Pharmacy Group is an award-winning family owned business, with Mr Phillips at the helm with nearly 40 years experience.
He added: "Over the coming weeks and months, you will witness a transformation at Newington pharmacy.
"Among our exciting plans are new signage and an improved environment plus a new private consultation room, where patients will be able to speak to a pharmacist about health concerns in confidence.
"I want to share my plans with the public immediately, as without them, we don't have business and I want to show my commitment to them."
From July, the branch will also be extending their opening Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 6.30pm, and only shutting for lunch between 1.30pm and 2pm.
The pharmacy will also be open on a Saturday morning between 9am and 12pm.
Mr Phillips said: "I have several branches including the multi-award winning Pierremont pharmacy in Broadstairs.
"My ambition is to bring Newington pharmacy up to the same exceptional standard as the rest of the pharmacies in my family owned group."
