Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died following a walk along Margate seafront.

The man, believed to be in his 30s and from Margate, was found by passersby on the beach between Cliftonville and Palm Bay at around 8.05am on Tuesday, March 12.

An ambulance was called and the man, known to suffer from epilepsy, was taken to Kings College Hospital, where he later died from serious head injuries.

Police are keen to speak to a number of dog walkers in the area at the time - particularly in the moments before he was discovered on the beach.

Officers are not looking to make any arrests at this stage.
