Witnesses needed by team investigating accident in Canterbury Road, Birchington

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was injured in a road incident.

Officers were called at 4.55am on Friday to reports of a collision on the A28 Canterbury Road in Birchington, between a Peugeot 208 and a pedestrian. The grey Peugeot was being driven towards Canterbury at the time.

The pedestrian, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital in London, but he is not believed to have suffered life threatening injuries.

Investigators are now keen to speak to anyone who saw the collision at the start of the 50mph section of the dual carriageway, or anyone who saw the pedestrian between the service station and the dual carriageway.
