A driver's been arrested after a suspected hit-and-run incident in Margate.

It comes after a man, in his 50s, was hit by a black VW Golf in Northdown Road, Cliftonville, just after 8pm on Sunday.

A 21-year old from Margate was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and dangerous driving.

He has been released on bail until November 2 while inquiries continue.
