A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after a child was allegedly punched.

Police were called to a "disturbance" in Pysons Road, Ramsgate just after 2.30pm today.

A young boy was reportedly hit in the face.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to an address in Pysons Road, Ramsgate, at 2.38pm on 25 August to reports of a disturbance.

"Officers attended and arrested a 44-year-old man on suspicion of assault.

"He has been bailed until 28 August pending further enquiries."
