A man was taken to hospital after an alleged assault this morning.

Police were called by paramedics to a house in Margate Road at around 7.20am to reports of the assault.

The incident is believed to have taken place in Percy Road.

A man was taken to hospital with a hand injury.

Police say enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
