Police are investigating a brawl in Ramsgate town centre in the early hours of Friday, October 21.
They were called to the King Street area shortly after 2am to an incident involving around 10 people.
Officers were alerted when the confrontation was caught on CCTV and two people were arrested – a 17-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, both from Ramsgate.
A police spokesman said: "Patrols responded quickly and the group dispersed swiftly. There is no record of any injuries."
However, a Ramsgate resident, who did not want to be named, said that earlier in the evening, at around 11pm on Thursday, he witnessed what he described as "a running battle" in the same area.
He said: "It was a pretty terrifying fight that seemed to be between rival gangs from Margate and Ramsgate, with men and young girls in their early teens involved.
"I saw people using belt buckles, a big knife and drink cans as weapons in the attacks, and people were hurling each other at shop windows.
"There was someone being pinned down on the floor while someone kicked them in the head. It was very violent and terrifying."
