Emergency service crews descended on a lido car park in Margate following reports of a man in distress.

Police were called to Ethelbert Crescent in the Cliftonville area at around 12.40pm yesterday.

An ambulance, the fire service and the coastguard also attended.

A man was located and has now been taken into the care of healthcare professionals.
