A BMW being pursued by police smashed into a parked Jaguar after narrowly avoiding a head-on collision with a learner driver.

Officers tried to flag down the car in Ramsgate just after 3pm, but the driver refused to stop and instead sped off.

An eyewitness described the car screeching around the corner of Vale Square with the passenger's legs hanging out of the door.

The BMW almost collided with a learner driver's car before crashing into a parked jaguar.

The 16-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of drug offences.
