Teenagers being questioned after suspected stabbing near Budgens service station in Broadstairs

Two teenagers have been arrested after a man was seriously injured in a suspected stabbing attack near a service station.

The incident happened in The Broadway, Broadstairs, and police were alerted at 2.10am.

A 26-year-old man was taken to a London hospital for treatment to his wounds and is in a stable condition.

Two men both aged 18 years old have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody.

Officers cordoned off the area around the store between Gladstone Road and Grosvenor Road opposite the town's library.

There have been reports that a police dog unit has also been at the scene.

The officers "stood down" from the scene at midday.

There were unconfirmed reports this morning that the victim had staggered into the shop following the incident. A witness said the man had suffered "very serious injuries" near the library and police and ambulance services were alerted by shop staff.

Kent Highways reported that the A255 is closed between Gladstone Road and Grosvenor Road.
