Police are on the hunt for an armed man.

Officers were alerted to a report of a man carrying a weapon yesterday evening in Auckland Avenue in Ramsgate.

The search last night extended to Pegwell, where police attended an address as part of their inquiries.

Investigations are continuing today, with officers remaining in the Auckland Avenue area of the town as they attempt to track down the alleged man with a weapon.

Police have confirmed the investigation is ongoing, no arrests have yet been made.
