A Primark branch at a popular shopping centre has been forced to close today.

Bosses at Westwood Cross, near Broadstairs, say the clothing store has shut its doors following a power cut.

The shopping centre posted on Facebook at midday to inform shoppers about the closure.

“Please note that Primark has had to close due to a power outage,” it says.

“We're sorry for any inconvenience.

“We will keep you updated as to when the store will reopen.”

No other stores are said to be impacted.

Westwood Cross confirmed on Thursday Primark has reopened.
