Property and cash worth £800 stolen from car

DRIVERS in Kent have again been urged not to leave expensive property in their cars after a personal stereo, camera, binoculars, compact discs and cash together worth £800 were taken from the glove compartment of a Mitsubishi Shogun.

The car was broken into at Manor Road, St Nicholas, near Margate. The theft was discovered on Sunday morning.

Damage to the vehicle door is estimated to be about £100. A police spokeswoman said: “The best advice is not to leave any valuable in your car.”
