A medical incident onboard a train is causing delays between Kent towns.
Services from Westgate-On-Sea towards Faversham were disrupted after a passenger was taken ill at the Thanet station shortly before 3.45pm.
For a time no trains were running from Margate towards Faversham and highspeed services were diverted via Ashford.
Southeastern said it had arranged replacement buses and tickets were being accepted on local bus routes between Margate and Faversham.
Emergency services were in attendance at Westgate-On-Sea station and, while the train was able to depart at around 4.30pm, disruption on the line was expected to continue into the evening.
A spokesperson for railway operator Southeastern said via X that while work was being done to return services to normal, trains might be delayed, altered or cancelled at short notice.
Police and the local ambulance service have been contacted for comment.
