A man has been flown to hospital after reportedly being assaulted in Ramsgate early today.

Emergency services were called to Harbour Parade at about 12.15am.

A 36-year-old man is being treated for head injuries at St George's Hospital in London.

He was flown their by an air ambulance that landed nearby.

Police said officers are investigating reports of an alleged assault and inquiries are ongoing.
