Margate assault suspect hunt renewed by Kent Police with new CCTV image

Police have renewed their appeal to track down a man suspected of assaulting two women.

Detectives released a second image from CCTV footage being reviewed as part of an investigation into the attack in Margate.

An appeal was launched earlier this month following the attack in the early hours of June 30.

Officers are hoping to speak to the man in connection with the incident in Ethelbert Crescent when a group was reportedly approached by a man.

Police say an altercation followed and two women in the group were injured.

The attack took place on Sunday, June 30 between 12.30am and 12.50am when police were called to the scene near the junction with Edgar Road.

One of the women needed hospital treatment.

A police spokesman said: "Officers attended the scene and enquiries are ongoing.

"Anyone who recognises the man pictured in the CCTV image, or if they witnessed the incident itself, are asked to call Kent Police.

"He may be able to assist with their enquiries into a report of an assault in Margate."
