Police have confirmed that a biker in his 30s died earlier when he was involved in a collision with a car.

The incident happened just before 11.30am in Alland Grange Lane, Manston, near Spitfire Way.

Several emergency vehicles were sent to the scene including the air ambulance.

In a statement, police said the motorcyclist had died of his injuries and his next-of-kin had been informed.

The road has since re-opened.
