A road remains closed after a serious accident.

A motorbike was involved in the crash on the A299 near Monkton this afternoon.

The crash happened between the A253 Monkton roundabout, and A28 Canterbury Road, St Nicholas At Wade roundabout.

The road has been closed since the accident happened around 4.15pm.

Witnesses reported seeing police, fire and ambulance services at the scene.
