A man has been found dead in Ramsgate after emergency crews were alerted to concerns about him this morning.

Police sealed off parts of Victoria Parade in Ramsgate - between Victoria Road and Winterstoke Crescent - for several hours after they were contacted shortly after 7am.

A spokesman for police confirmed a man in his 60s had fallen from a height and died at the scene.

They added: “Police were called following concern for a man in the area.

“Emergency services attended and a man was located and sadly pronounced deceased.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”

The road has subsequently reopened.
