The eyes have it for proud grandfather, Thanet MP Roger Gale.

Gently cradling his first grandchild, an as-yet-unnamed baby girl, Mr Gale and his wife Suzy said: "We are absolutely thrilled."

Baby Gale weighed in at 8lb7oz at the maternity unit at the QEQM Hospital, Margate, on Wednesday October 6, at 11.30pm.

Her parents are mum Jo, and Roger and Suzy's son Jasper.
