A blaze in the roof of a house in a Kent town sparked a major alert.
Three fire engines were sent to the two-storey property in Pierremont Avenue, Broadstairs, at 5.50pm.
Witnesses said the street was cordoned off while crews battled the blaze.
It is understood they managed to put it out before it caused serious damage.
Firefighters remained at the scene for around 40 minutes to carry out salvage work and cut away damaged areas of the roof to leave the area safe.
