Rubbish left left strewn across a seaside car park by a group of travellers has been cleared by council workers.
Five motorhomes were spotted pitched up in East Cliff in Ramsgate - a regular hotspot for travellers earlier this week.
Litter was dumped and left to scatter across the car park and onto the beach.
Groups of picnic chairs, food carriers and prams were also out in the open.
Thanet District Council has since cleared the rubbish and spoken with the travellers asking them to dispose of waste appropriately.
Fed-up passer-by Andy Smith said: "Why is this allowed to keep happening?
"They have no regards for local people wanting to use the car park and they leave tonnes of mess.
"It's intimidating to dog walkers and people wanting to get to the beach.
"Why has the council not put in height restriction barriers as this happens every year?"
A council spokesman said: "The site was visited by the council on 16 June and advice was given to the group about disposing of their rubbish appropriately. Our hardworking street cleansing officers have since cleared rubbish at this site."
Another makeshift traveller site in Ramsgate's Marina car park was also set up this week, but they have since left.
"The community safety team notified our street cleansing department that this site also required attention," the council spokesman added.
"The cleansing team responded promptly, clearing the area within a matter of hours."
