Seven is now Scott McFadyen’s lucky number after winning £3,000 with our sister radio station kmfm.

Scott from Glencoe Road, Margate, took the top prize in kmfm Breakfast’s Three Grand In The Sand competition on Saturday.

Listeners have been calling in to Garry and Emma’s show to win one of 10 plots marked out on a secret beach in the hope of digging up the cash. The competition was sponsored by P&O Ferries.

Scott, who was given plot number seven, said: “I am over the moon and plan to use the money to celebrate my 10 wedding anniversary in New York next year.”

Handily for Scott, the secret beach turned out to be Margate’s.
