A 21-year-old who went missing from Broadstairs has been found safe and well.

A police helicopter was involved in the search for Daniel Matthews, a vulnerable young man who went missing from his college this afternoon.

Concerns mounted as he was said to be mute and have severe autism.

Friends and family joined emergency crews in the search.

Kent Police backed the family's appeal saying he went missing at around 1pm today.

They have since confirmed he was found safe at Euston in London.
