A cyclist remains in a serious condition in hospital after colliding with a flat bed lorry in Ramsgate yesterday (Monday).

Kent Police were called to the crash, which happened near the entrance to the Haine Industrial Estate, shortly before 3pm.

The road was closed for more than five hours between the junction for Spratling Street and the Manston Road roundabout to allow investigations to be carried out.

The injured cyclist - a man in his 20s - was taken to the QEQM hospital, Margate, for treatment.
