Ramsgate Sailing Week takes to the waves from Monday, July 25, until Saturday, July 30.

Sponsored by London Array, the annual regatta is organised by the Royal Temple Yacht Club and is widely recognised as the alternative to Cowes with a good mix of cruising and racing.

With close to 100 boats expected to attend, this year’s event is set to be an exhilarating and exciting regatta for everyone, both on and off the water.

A spokeswoman said: "This year the Royal Temple Yacht Club is honoured to welcome Mike Perham to Ramsgate Week. In 2007, at the age of 14, Mike became the youngest person to ever sail across the Atlantic single-handed and on August 29, 2009, he became the youngest person to sail single-handed around the world."
