Police are investigating after a girl was approached by a man who tried to persuade her to get into his vehicle.
The girl was walking along Bush Avenue in Ramsgate yesterday just after 1.15pm when a man pulled up in a van and started talking to her.
In a post on social media, her mother said he tried to persuade her to get in and then proceeded to follow her.
A police spokesman said the incident was reported to police and enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.
"The girl did not communicate with the man, who is reported to have driven away when he saw her using her phone," the spokesman added.
In recent weeks there have been other incidents involving females being approached in Ramsgate, although they are not being linked by police.
On December 6, a motorist warned others to lock the doors of their cars after she was approached by a man who then 'chased her vehicle' in The Centre in Newington.
The same day another woman posted about a man running up to a woman in an alleyway by Newington Community Primary School in Ramsgate.
On December 8, a woman was dragged into a car and held against her will during a terrifying attack in Crescent Road in Ramsgate.
