Two people have been arrested on suspicion of dealing class A drugs.

The police visited a property in Addington Street, Margate, on Wednesday, and thought the occupant was acting suspiciously.

The man was detained and a search led to cannabis, scales, money and several mobile phones being recovered.

A bag thought to contain heroin was also seized.

The man, aged 37, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A drug with intent to supply and a 44-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug.

They remain in custody pending further inquiries.
