A 64-year-old man has been arrested following a sting by paedophile hunters who claim they caught him trying to entice a young girl into sexual activity.

The confrontation happened last night in Ramsgate when the alleged offender was approached by members of a group called Shadow Hunters UK.

They claim the man had been making sexual comments online to someone he believed to be a young girl.

Members of the group confronted the suspect in the street and published a video of the encounter on Facebook.

Police say they went to Addington Street in the town at around 10.15pm and arrested a 64-year-old man who remains in custody.
