Four men have been arrested after two men were stabbed in incidents believed to be linked in Ramsgate.
A night of violence unfolded after a taxi driver was stabbed in a robbery, before a second man was knifed in a brawl at a kebab shop less than three hours later.
Police were called to Margate Road after a taxi driver was stabbed and robbed of his money by a man at about 11.20pm last night.
A few hours later, four men were involved in an altercation in Harbour Street, before leaving the scene.
Shortly after 2am this morning, emergency services were then called to the M&M Kebab and Pizza takeaway in King Street.
Two men were arrested at the scene and taken to hospital with injuries – one of which is believed to have been caused by a knife, with the other a result of beating.
Two other suspects were detained shortly afterwards.
The shop remained cordoned off today, with smashed glass and a large lump of wood visible at the crime scene and uneaten food left on the tables.
Station Approach Road was closed in both directions but has now reopened.
It comes just a week after another stabbing in the town which saw a man in his 20s suffer a knife wound to his arm.
Detectives are investigating both incidents, and are understood to be looking into the possibility one of the suspects arrested in the kebab shop fight is also linked to the taxi driver assault.
Anyone who may have information, including footage from mobile phones or doorbell and CCTV cameras, is being asked to get in contact with police.
Drivers who were in the areas around King Street and Harbour Street are also urged to check dashcams.
