It was reported at the time that a toxic substance had been sprayed at four people in the street.

In what was later described to magistrates as "violent and unpleasant assaults", two were said to have sustained facial injuries while another two suffered reddening and irritation.

With the case having been sent to Canterbury Crown Court, Tudor appeared there last Monday where he pleaded guilty to two offences of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to two people.

The 19-year-old, of St Luke's Avenue, also admitted administering a noxious substance - ammonia - to another person with intent, and having a corrosive substance in a public place.

Sentencing was adjourned by Judge Simon Taylor KC until March 20 for the preparation of a report to consider dangerousness and assess any future risk.

Remanding Tudor into custody until March 20, the judge told him: "I need further information before I can proceed to sentence in this case and I appreciate this will be an uncomfortable time for you waiting to know your fate."
