A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of assault following a disturbance during the early hours of the morning.

Police were called to the scene and a 19-year-old girl was arrested, and another woman was taken to hospital.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was made aware of a disturbance in Harbour Parade, Ramsgate, at 3.11am on Friday, October 13.

"Officers attended and arrested a 19-year-old woman from Margate on suspicion of assault. She remains in custody.

"One other female was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident but was not reported to have suffered any serious injuries."
