The new issue of the council’s magazine, “Thanet Matters” is looking ahead 20 years in the future, with a front cover encouraging people to have their say on the council’s vision.
Following feedback from local residents, the magazine has a new look this issue, aiming to make it more eye catching, with the fact that it is produced by the council even more prominent. This issue of “Thanet Matters”, which runs to 16 pages, is being distributed through the KM Thanet Extra this week.
The Easter Blast events being planned for young people during the Easter school holidays are also featured, along with a look ahead to Margate’s Big Event, which once again takes place on the clifftops of Palm Bay over the Father’s Day weekend in June.
Elsewhere in the magazine, there’s information about how those aged 16 and under or 60 and over can swim for free from April and an update on the latest measures to tackle crime in Thanet from the Thanet Community Safety Partnership.
As well as being distributed through the KM Thanet Extra, “Thanet Matters” can be collected from Thanet’s Gateway Plus, local libraries and Visitor Information Centres. You can also be added to the mailing list for “Thanet Matters” by calling 01843 577034 or e-mailing press.office@thanet.gov.uk
