The world's largest offshore wind farm will 'open' off the coast of Thanet next Thursday (September 23).
The Thanet Offshore Wind Farm, which will supply electricity to more than 200,000 homes, will be unveiled by Chris Huhne, the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change.
Øystein Løseth, president of Vattenfall, the company behind the project, will also attend the launch.
The wind farm comprises 100 giant turbines and has a total capacity of 300MW. It took more than two years and cost a staggering £780 million to build.
