A prolific burglar has been jailed for 56 months after a series of raids on houses.
Jason Pitt stole car keys, cash and jewellery after “turning everything upside down” in rooms of a house in Ramsgate Road, Ramsgate.
It left the victim “devastated” and having to spend hundreds of pounds on extra security

But Canterbury Crown Court heard how the 45 year old left samples of his blood during the burglary.
Prosecutor Andrew Forsyth told how on the same day in July last year he also tried to break into a house in Victoria Parade.
The 45-year-old was filmed trying to prise open a window with a garden fork at about 3pm on Sunday, July 15
Pitt, of Conyngham Close, Broadstairs, admitted three burglary offences – to add to his criminal record which includes 36 others!
Since 2009, Pitt has received two five year and one three year sentences.
Now after admitting five more offences, including burglary, attempted burglary and handling stolen goods, he has been given a jail term of four years and eight months.
Judge James O’Mahony told him: “These were determined serious burglaries and you are a prolific burglar.”
The thief was arrested after being stopped as a passenger in a car and found to be wearing some of the stolen jewellery.
Mr Forsyth said in July last year Pitt had broken in though a window after damaging two other doors.
Six days later he tried to burgle two other properties in Grange Road and Victoria Park in Ramsgate – but was caught on CCTV picking up a brick.
Only July 17, he tried to break into the home of a woman who was attending a funeral in Thanet.
