With temperatures sky high, Margate beach has been packed out with sun-seekers over the last few days.

Sadly, this often results in litter left strewn across the sand.

But a group of litter pickers took it upon themselves to clear the beach of waste this weekend.

Local Jordan Rowe snapped several people clearing the area Saturday evening and hailed their efforts.

"Well done you hidden heroes clearing up Margate beach," he said.

"It was lovely to see people taking time out of their Saturday evening to clean up the beach, helping the local community and wider environment."
