Balaclava-wearing thugs punched a teenager several times as they forced him to hand over his Gucci bag.
Police have launched a probe into the incident in Ramsgate on Wednesday, during which the victim's designer satchel containing AirPods and cash was stolen.
They say he was walking through Gwyn Road at about 2.50pm when the two suspects demanded he give them his bag, after they jumped out of a car that had pulled up behind.
A police spokesman said: "The victim was then punched several times before being threatened into handing over his bag.
"The suspects then got back into the car and drove away in the direction of Nixon Avenue."
Detectives say one of the assailants was black, bearded, over 6ft in height, stocky and in his 20s.
He reportedly wore a black balaclava, a blue coat, black jogging bottoms or trousers and black shoes.
His accomplice was black and of slim build.
He is said to have been dressed all in black and wearing a black balaclava.
