Crash sparks delays on A299 Thanet Way in St Nicholas at Wade

A man has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a motorbike and a car on a major route.

The collision happened on the A299 Thanet Way in St Nicholas at Wade at about 10.50am this morning.

Emergency services were at the scene, and traffic was reduced to one lane coastbound.

Kent County Highways warned motorists to expect delays, and traffic reporting service Inrix reported heavy congestion in the area.

A police spokeswoman said: “We were called to a report of a collision involving a motorbike and a car at 10.51am on Wednesday 28 August 2024.

“Officers attended the scene on the coastbound A299 by St Nicholas at Wade.

“A man was taken to a local hospital with injuries not believed to be serious.”
