Commuters are facing disruption this morning after a trespasser was found on the tracks near Margate.
Power to the line at Westgate was turned off at around 6.30am as emergency services tried to remove the trespasser from the railway.
Southeastern announced shortly after that a person had been taken into custody and that power would soon be restored.
However, the 6.43am service from Dumpton Park to Cannon Street was cancelled as a result of the disruption.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: "Officers were called to Westgate on Sea station at 6.17 this morning following reports of a trespasser on the line.
"Colleagues from Kent Police also attended and a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of trespass.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
