Rail services were affected this evening after trespassers on the line of a railway station prompted the power to be switched off.
Passengers travelling to and from Broadstairs Railway Station were held up due to the incident.
Southeastern posted on X at around 8.30pm this evening, to say: “Because of trespassers on the railway in the Broadstairs area, no trains can run through the station.
“Power to the line has been switched off. More to follow.”
Police have been called to the incident.
But in a further update, issued shortly before 9.10pm, the rail operator added: “Power to the line has now been restored at Broadstairs.
“Trains should be on the move very shortly.”
More as we get it.
