A TV documentary has uncovered a link between a serial killer who buried bodies in his Kent garden and a teenager missing for 30 years.
Peter Tobin, 71, is serving life in jail for murdering three women – Angelika Kluk, Vicky Hamilton and Dinah McNicol.
The bodies of Vicky and Dinah were discovered in the garden of Tobin's former home in Irvine Drive, Margate in 2008, where they had been buried since 1991.
Now, he is being linked to the case of Sussex teenager Louise Kay, who went missing in June 1988.
In the first episode of the new ITV series of The Investigator: A British Crime Story screened last night, former detective Mark Williams-Thomas investigates the Sussex teenager's disappearance.
The 18-year-old was last seen driving towards beauty spot Beachy Head after a night out clubbing in Eastbourne, East Sussex, close to where Tobin was living at the time.
Former Detective Superintendent David Swindle, who led the Operation Anagram review into Tobin in 2006, tells Williams-Thomas: "I think Peter Tobin has killed many other victims and their bodies will be buried somewhere."
Louise’s sister, Nicola Stork, tells Williams-Thomas: "I have such strong feelings that Peter Tobin is connected to Louise’s disappearance. I know he’s in prison and he’s already being punished. I don’t care about him. I just want to know where she is.
"If there are remains found then we can bury her - that she has the respect she deserves.”
