POLICE today followed a suspected stolen car from the Thanet Way at Whitstable through to the Thanet towns when it failed to stop when instructed to by a patrol car. The pursuit started at about at 3.30am.

The Astra was followed through Acol, Birchington, Ramsgate, Broadstairs and St Peter’s before being abandoned in the Millmead estate at Margate.

A 22-year-old man from Westgate and a 29-year-old man from Margate were later arrested and are being questioned in connection with the incident.
