Police seized cannabis, ecstasy tablets, cash and mobile phones from a car, leading to the arrest of two men.

The two men, from London, were arrested in connection with drug dealing in Thanet, after officers on patrol stopped a car in Westbook Road, Margate.

Following a search of the car using dogs, police seized cannabis and ecstasy tablets at the scene as well as cash and mobile phones.

Two 28-year-old men from Hanwell were arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply in the early hours of Sunday.

They have both been released pending further enquiries.
