The A299 Hengist Way near Ramsgate was closed for three hours following a crash.
Long queues built up as a result of the smash, involving two cars, at the Lord of the Manor roundabout.
It happened at around 4pm and police and ambulance crews were sent to the scene.
A police spokesman said: "Police were called to a collision on the A299 near to the Lord of the Manor roundabout in Ramsgate at 3.41pm.
"Two cars were involved in the collision and officers are at the scene along with the South East coast Ambulance Service where the road is currently closed."
Highways officials confirmed the road reopened at around 7pm.
