TWO men were taken to hospital early this morning when their van left the road and overturned on a roundabout. The Renault Master hit the Monkton roundabout on the A253 near in Thanet just after 5am.

Firefighters from Ramsgate and Thanet cut free the passenger who was complaining of pain in his back and leg. The driver suffered facial injuries.

Both men were taken to Margate’s Queen Mother Hospital. The road remained open, but traffic was delayed for around three hours.
