Two men are in a serious condition in hospital after their car left the road and crashed into a tree last night.
The driver in his 20s and passenger in his 40s were travelling in a black Toyota Auris in Dane Valley Road in Margate when the incident occurred.
Both men received emergency medical attention at the scene, before being transferred to a London hospital for further treatment.
Police are now appealing for information about the incident to try and determine the cause of the crash.
A spokesperson said: "Investigators are appealing for information following a serious collision in Margate.
"At around 10.20pm on Saturday, January 21, a black Toyota Auris was travelling along Dane Valley Road towards College Road when it left the carriageway and collided with a tree.
"Kent Police's serious collision investigation unit (SCIU) is carrying out enquiries and officers are appealing to anyone who saw what happened, or has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward.
"Anyone with information should call the SCIU appeal line on 01622 798538, or email sciu.td@kent.police.uk, quoting reference HW/DH/007/23.
