Two men are in police custody after a fatal stabbing in Margate over the weekend.

The alleged incident happened in Market Place, near the Wig and Pen pub - though is not thought to be connected to the pub.

Police were called to reports of a disturbance shortly after 1am on Saturday.

Officers found an injured man who was taken to QEQM Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Two men aged 23 and 49 have been arrested on suspicion of murder and and are thought to still be in custody while investigations continue.
